What does “receptor grade” mean for proteins like IGF-1 LR3?
Receptor grade indicates a preparation intended for receptor-binding and signaling research where structure, purity, and consistency are especially important. It does not imply clinical/GMP status. All items remain Research Use Only (RUO).
What receptor grade typically includes
- High purity: Each lot meets a minimum ≥95% purity (HPLC area %) with MS identity on the COA.
- Integrity & consistency: Formulated and processed to help maintain proper folding and low aggregation suitable for receptor assays.
- Stabilizers/buffer components (if used): Any excipients are disclosed on the COA/label (e.g., salts or carriers used to protect structure/adsorption).
- QC: You’ll receive specific COA data (HPLC/MS, and any other tests performed).
What receptor grade is not
- Not a potency claim for clinical dosing.
- Not for in vivo administration (human or veterinary).
Practical tips for receptor assays
- Check the COA for purity, identity, salt form, and any excipients.
- Reconstitute gently.
- Aliquot & freeze promptly to avoid repeat freeze–thaw; protect from light.
RUO disclaimer: For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption, diagnosis, or therapy.
