My payment keeps getting declined—even though everything looks right. Why?
No worries! Payment hiccups happen for a few common reasons. Try the quick fixes below, then see the method-specific tips.
Quick fixes (often solve it fast)
- Check billing details: Name, address, and ZIP/postal code must exactly match your card/bank statement.
- Re-enter numbers carefully: Card number, expiry, and CVC; for bank transfer, your login/credentials.
- Try a different browser or device and disable VPN/ad-blockers for checkout.
- Contact your bank to approve the transaction (fraud filters can block legitimate purchases).
- Try another payment method if available.
Credit Card troubleshooting
- AVS/CVC mismatch: The most common decline cause—verify the billing address and CVC.
- Bank fraud rules: Ask your bank to whitelist or approve the merchant/amount.
- Daily/intl limits: Larger or cross-border authorizations may need a quick call for approval.
- Prepaid/gift cards: Many fail AVS (address verification) and are not supported.
Same-day Bank Transfer (ACH) tips
- Use the correct bank login and ensure your bank is supported.
- Exact name match: The account holder name should match your order name.
- Sufficient funds & limits: Check available balance and ACH limits.
- Session timeouts: Complete the bank authorization in one go—don’t close the window or use Back.
- If you’re repeatedly prompted to reconnect, wait a few minutes and try again or contact your bank.
Bitcoin (BTC) tips
- Send BTC (not BCH/other coins) to the exact address shown at checkout.
- Send the exact amount (include network fees on top, don’t subtract from the total).
- Confirmations & time window: Some orders expire if funds arrive late or with too few confirmations—send promptly and use a normal fee.
- One address per order: Don’t reuse an address from a previous order.
